As my New Year's resolution for 2024, I set out with the mantra "build that damn website already" echoing in my mind daily. Today, I'm thrilled to unveil my new art website! I invite you to satisfy your hunger for color and design as you explore the myriad collections and pages here. I promise, you won't be disappointed.
Crafted with meticulous attention to detail and functionality, my digital platform serves as a showcase for my artwork collections, catering to both art enthusiasts and curious explorers alike.
Spending nearly half a year navigating the digital landscape as a non-techie, I explored multiple platforms to find the right fit for my artistic vision. Despite having built six WordPress sites in the past, I found it too bloated with plugins, frequent errors, and updates that didn't integrate smoothly with each other plus I had too many back end updates Word Press requires you to manage with your hosting provider. The beauty of DUDA it is a self managed platform, I do nothing as result in upkeep and save immense time!
WIX, Square Space, and Webflow were also not the answer as a new platform. Instead, I discovered DUDA rich in onboard features, user-friendly, highly adaptable platform that allows you to break boundaries the cookie cutter modules won't allow plus with a manageable learning curve of 30 to 60 days. The biggest bonus for me being an artist and image person is the built in image filter app that is a mini Photoshop, this one feature maybe saved me weeks. The clear winner for me was DUDA, a fast, efficient tool that I dare say could rival any existing platform and just maybe pass them at the curve.
Image galleries and sliders can be nuanced more and made more agile less confined in function, the same can be said for typography treatments and functions. These will get polished up I am sure in future DUDA updates.
